Welcome to the New York Division of the Electric Railroaders’ Association, Inc.
Division members and subscribers receive our monthly newsletter, The Bulletin (left), which consists primarily of news about New York-area transit, with additional reporting devoted to national and international systems. Sample covers from most issues since 2004 are available here.
The Division meets on the third Friday of each month at the St. John’s University Manhattan campus, located at 101 Murray Street (between Greenwich and West Streets). [Directions]

Division membership is only $50 per year ($35 for students through undergraduate), surely a bargain at today’s prices!
Membership is on an annual calendar basis, and anyone who joins during the year will receive all back issues of the Bulletin for the current year. (Please note: those who are not members in good standing of the National ERA may join the Division as subscribers, and will enjoy all benefits except the right to vote in Division elections (for information about National ERA membership, click here).

The September presentation will be a joint slide program with the New York Railroad Enthusiasts. The RRE half of the presentation will consist of a slideshow by Steve Kalka. The NY Division half will consist of slides from the Gerald H. Landau Collection as shown by longtime friend Gary Grahl. [More]
The Greater New Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association holds Memory Walks during the month of October to raise money to help provide support and assistance to New Jersey individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. As they have in recent years, Irene and Sid Keyles are planning to participate in the Northern Regional Memory Walk on Sunday, October 24, 2010, in Paramus, N.J. Please help them by contributing $5, $10, or whatever lesser or greater amount you may desire. [More]

We plan to sponsor another joint trip with the New York Railroad Enthusiasts in time for the holiday season. The planned destination is the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Branford, Connecticut.
