Trolley Museum Weekend in New England

Saturday & Sunday, May 19-20, 2007

The NY Division conducted its Spring weekend excursion to various electric rail facilities in New England on Saturday, May 19, and Sunday, May 20, 2007. We stopped on Saturday at the trolley museum in Warehouse Point, Conn., and rode the heritage trolley in Lowell, Mass. We spent several hours in the evening, after dinner on our own, at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine. On Sunday, we returned to the Seashore Trolley Museum before heading home, including a stop at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven/Branford, Conn. A dinner stop at Hometown Buffet in Milford, Conn., was included in our ticket price, as were our admissions to the stops mentioned above in this paragraph.

The trip was extremely enjoyable and a great time was had by all. Special thanks have been conveyed to all the people who went above and beyond for our group at Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport and Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven. As a result of the success of this trip, following a good trip to Baltimore last year, the Board is seriously considering another weekend trip for 2008, possibly to the Philadelphia area.
