The NY Division of the ERA is pleased to announce a Spring weekend excursion to various electric rail facilities in New England on Saturday and Sunday, May 19–20, 2007. We are planning stops on Saturday at the Connecticut Trolley Museum in the East Haven, and to ride the Lowell National Historic Park (LNHP) heritage trolley in Lowell, Mass. We hope to spend several hours in the evening, after dinner on your own, at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine. On Sunday, we will return to the Seashore Trolley Museum before heading home, including a stop at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in the town of Branford, Conn. A dinner stop at Hometown Buffet in Milford, Conn., is included in your ticket price, as are your admissions to the stops mentioned above in this paragraph.
Our hotel for Saturday evening will be the Comfort Suites in Biddeford, Maine, which is a short ride in our bus from the Seashore Trolley Museum. As our schedule will not give you free time, there is no need to consider access from the hotel other than on our charter bus. Hotel arrangements are included in the price of the trip. The number of rooms we have reserved is limited, so we advise you to book this trip as early as you can. In any event, this form must be received by us on or before April 15, 2007.
Our chartered bus will leave promptly at 8:00 AM from the public city bus stop for the M16 on 8th Avenue, just north of West 40th Street, across the street from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. There will not be an additional pickup point. It is expected that the bus will return home on Sunday at approximately 9:30 PM.
Please join us for a special trip to your favorite trolley facilities in New England. The ticket prices below include your charter bus transportation, hotel room, admission to the facilities identified in the first paragraph above, and dinner on Sunday. Other meals are not included. For further updates and information, please call 718-784-3643 evenings. This trip operates rain or shine.
