Ray Berger (ERA #2298), who has served as chairman, vice chairman, and director of the N.Y. Division, will show a photographic essay depicting changes in the transit system during the 1960s and 1970s, a period of particular importance to transit enthusiasts. We will see a period of decline, then the retirement of the first generation of car equipment, the introduction of the second generation of cars, and finally a look at the third generation fleet. Many of these slides had never been seen by any other transit enthusiasts.
