Noted rail photographer Jack May will be the presenter of our first 2020 meeting. Jack’s travels over the past year centered on North America, although he did make two overseas trips. His program will feature the new streetcar systems in Milwaukee, Oklahoma City and El Paso, plus light rail in Dallas, Houston, Charlotte, Buffalo, Toronto and San Francisco. On those travels he also sampled operations on the new dMU services from Fort Worth to DFW Airport (TexRail), and two similar operations just outside of San Francisco. Jack will also show a smattering of operations at the two trolley museums in Connecticut, and the new commuter rail link between Warehouse Point (Hartford) and Branford (New Haven). On the foreign side there will be slides of Innsbruck, Linz and Gmunden in Austria, three tram systems in Belarus (including Minsk), plus rail operations in Israel and — a surprise to him — Jordan. Please join us in the new year for a wonderful presentation!
