After a three-year absence, the Metropolitan New York Bus Association Commitee of the Motor Bus Society’s annual five-day bus and rail extravaganza returns! Our venue is the classy Alt Hotel on Slater Street in downtown Ottawa, situated near many bus routes and one block from the O-Train, Confederation Line Parliament Station.
Lunch in Johnson City, New York; CENTRO in Syracuse; the Central Square Station Museum which has railroad and trolley equipment to photograph, and arrival and check in at the Alt Hotel in Ottawa!
With the help of our friends at Yul Bus Charters, we plan to charter an OC Transpo New Flyer Invero for a six-hour tour of Ottawa, to inspect OC Transpo bus and rail facilities and arrange quality scenic photos of the bus around the city while sightseeing!
We have planned a day trip to Montreal to see our friends at the FHTCQ. We will use their historic buses to travel around Montreal to visit transportation facilities and terminals in Montreal, Laval and the South Shore. We hope to see some of the REM construction along the former Deux-Montagnes commuter line during our visit.
Mostly on your own day in Ottawa. Your opportunity to plan your day according to your interests; buses, light rail, railroads, local architecture or just plain sightseeing in Canada’s Capital! If you haven’t had enough bus related stops, we are planning a short trip during the day using our comfortable Coach Tours bus to explore Gatineau, Quebec. Our friends at Yul Bus Charters are arranging a visit to see an STO facility and transit terminals of interest!
Please join us for our return to the five-day trip extravaganza with a wonderful visit to Ottawa.
