Branford Holiday Trip

Saturday, December 11, 2010

On Saturday, December 11, 2010, a joint trip with the NYRRE to the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Branford, Conn. took place, with about 35 in attendance. Reports indicate that the trip was very nice. We hope to do one or more joint trips with NYRRE in 2011.

It is time again for the traditional NYRRE Holiday Trip, which is being co-sponsored in 2010 by the N.Y. Division and the New York Railroad Enthusiasts. This year we’ll visit the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Branford, Connecticut. Metro-North and our Coach Tours charter bus will deliver us to the door. We’ll step back to the century (20th, that is) for a day of trolley riding, trolley barn exploring of their collection and, of course, our trip luncheon.

We will try something new at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant and Country Store. Each trip participant will receive an $18 gift card to order any meal, side dish, dessert or beverage he wishes. Individuals may exceed the $18 balance by paying the difference. Unused balances may be used at the Country Store or on a future restaurant visit. Your ticket payment below will cover the gratuity based on the $18 amount. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not served at Cracker Barrel.
