The ERA is pleased to announce a guided visit of the MTA NYC Transit Corona Yard Shop in Flushing, Queens. This is our first tour of the Corona Yard facility since 2006. Corona Yard is home to all of the rolling stock servicing the IRT Flushing Line, or 7 train. Work has been underway since 2008 to expand and upgrade this fleet for improved operations and the upcoming 7 Line extension to Hudson Yards. Representatives from NYC Transit will be our hosts to point out interesting features of the shop. You’ll get to see how subway cars are kept in good repair from the wheels up. We expect there to be many memorable sights at this exciting destination.
All attendees will meet at the token booth on the mezzanine level of the Willets Point, Shea Stadium station on the #7 Flushing line. You must be at that location no later than 1:00 PM and wear appropriate footwear and clothing for an active workshop.
Ticket Price: $25 Per Person
The ticket price for the visit and tour is $25. As per NYC Transit requirements, please include all attendee names and copies of photo ID with the order form. No tickets will be issued for this tour.
Please book your tickets ASAP! This tour will sell out fast. NYC Transit will accommodate groups of up to 35 people. We will include the first 35 people who sign up and also have provided the security documentation requested by NYC Transit. Any other reservations beyond 35 or incomplete security documentation will be placed on a waiting list. For further information, please contact Robert Colorafi. This trip operates rain or shine. We hope to see you there.
