MBS invites our fellow ERA members to join our Spring 2025 Motor Bus Society Convention in Florida. The convention will be held from Thursday, April 24th to Sunday, April 26th in Florida, USA.
The host hotel for the convention will be the the Homewood Suites Jacksonville South St. John’s Town Center. 10434 Mid Town Parkway in Jacksonville. The hotel is close to premier outlets and restaurants at the Town Center mall. The University of North Florida is also a short distance away. The hotel has free high-speed Wi-Fi internet access and a business center.
The special MBS room rate is $149 per night for a standard King room and $159 for a standard room with two Queen beds. A block of rooms has been put aside for MBS members from Wednesday, April 23rd to Sunday, April 26th. The hotel offers a daily free hot buffet breakfast. Many other restaurants are within a short walk of the hotel. There is no charge for on site parking.
Please note that hotel reservations must be made by Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. The hotel room space and rate cannot be guaranteed after that date.
All hotel reservations must be made by either calling the hotel directly or by visiting the Courtyard by Marriott website. Please refer to the hotel registration page (#3) for further instructions for reserving online.

The Motor Bus Society is currently in the planning and discussion stages for the Spring convention.There cannot be guarantees that we will be admitted to all the garages and maintenance facilities due to either health and security protocols or shortages of personnel to handle our visits. Some of the facilitytours may require a safety vest. If you have one available, please bring it.
The MBS convention registration fee is $125 per person per day or $350 for all three days for MBS members. For non-MBS members, the registration fee is $145 per day or $410 for all three days. To assure that space will be available for the garage and facility tours, advance registration is strongly recommended. In case of any shortage of seat space on the tour buses, persons with reservations will be given priority. MBS is pleased to announce that online booking is available on its new website. The deadline for MBS convention registration is Monday, March 31st.
Transportation Information:
For autos, the hotel is in the south Jacksonville area. Coming from the north, follow I-95 south, I-295 south, to exit 53 (FL-202, Butler Blvd.). Follow FL-202 east to the first exit (Gate Parkway). Continue right on Gate Parkway, right on Town Center Parkway, right on Mid Town Parkway and follow Mid Town Parkway to the Homewood Suites entrance.
From the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), follow Dixie Clipper Drive and Airport Service Road to I-95 south and follow the directions above.
For transit from JAX, take Jacksonville Transit Authority route 1 to Bay Street and Jefferson Street in downtown Jacksonville. Transfer to route 8 at Forsyth Street and Jefferson Street. Take route 8 to St. John’s Town Center and walk east a short distance to Homewood Suites.

Convention Activities: Registration and sign-in will take place in the Homewood Suites lobby starting at 7:30 AM on all three days, with buses departing promptly at 8:00 AM each day.
Garage and Facility Tours: The itinerary has not been finalized and is highly dependent on whether properties are receptive to having visitors. Possible site visits are shown below. The final lists of stops will be posted on the MBS website and MBS Facebook page one week prior to the convention.
