Our July program will be a wonderful slide presentation by Lew Hoy, a Michigan ERA member who grew up in Pennsylvania. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in Philadelphia during its Golden Years, and later retired from Conrail. During his time in Philly, Lew rode and photographed the PTC, PST, P&W and Lehigh Valley operations between 1947 and 1969. His presentation is dubbed “100 Miles by Trolley,” with views from West Chester on the PST, through 69th St. Terminal, to Easton on the LVT. A series of slides of Philadelphia-area snow sweeper action during the blizzards of 1970-71 is also featured. Please join us to see these wonderful historic images. This show is not to be missed!
