Bus and Rail in the Hudson Valley

The Metropolitan New York Bus Association invites you to our annual end-of-season bus enthusiasts tour, riding a comfortable Coach Tours bus, to visit locations north of New York City, to observe and photograph bus and rail in the Hudson Valley. Our Autumn excursion will take us to visit bus properties and a trolley museum north on the western side of the Hudson Valley from New Jersey to New York locations on both sides of the Hudson. We will visit the following sites:

• Mahwah, New Jersey Short Line
• Hillburn, New York The new Hudson Link serving Rockland County and routes to Metro-North over the Tappan Zee Bridge
• Kingston, New York Lunch in The Strand area and a visit to the Trolley Museum of New York which has recently acquired an ex-Altoona GM ‘New Look’ bus. Then we travel across the Hudson to…
• Poughkeepsie, New York City of Poughkeepsie local bus lines
• Yonkers, New York Liberty Lines Transit, which serves Westchester County with routes to The Bronx subways.

Plan to join us for this journey north of New York City to observe buses, historic streetcars and the beginnings of Fall foliage! We expect to return to Manhattan by 6:45 PM. There will be no dinner stop.

Schedule

Times Square | 8:00 AM Stop #1 meets on 8th Avenue between 40th and 41st Streets, in front of the New York Times building. We will be leaving at 8:00 AM sharp!

Ticket Price: $79 Per Person

MNYBA trips usually run close to capacity, so register early to avoid disappointment. No tickets will be sent, and no refunds are possible. We go rain or shine, so please be on time so that you don’t miss the bus. For more information, write [email protected]
