27th Annual Grand Central Terminal Tour

Saturday, February 21, 2009

The N.Y. Division of the ERA is pleased to announce its 27th annual guided tour of Grand Central Terminal on Saturday, February 21, 2009. This magnificent Terminal, officially dedicated on February 2, 1913, is now better than ever after comprehensive restoration work.

Representatives of MTA Metro-North Railroad will be our hosts to point out interesting features of the Terminal, both old and new. In addition to the architectural and structural points to be visited, we will see various types of locomotives and car equipment. We will learn about upcoming plans for GCT, such as the LIRR East Side Access. There is always something going on at GCT, and you can have lunch at one of the many restaurants in the Lower Level Dining Concourse or on the balconies.

Join us for a pleasant day of exploring one of New York’s architectural masterpieces. The tour will meet in the stationmaster’s Office at 9:45 AM The stationmaster’s Office is located under the West Balcony on the main level. For further updates and information, call 718-784-3643 evenings. Tour operates rain or shine.
